SCSU Students Mentor King/Robinson 4th Graders
Ms. Linzi Golding, Magnet Coordinator at King/Robinson, worked closely with SCSU mentors and provided invaluable support as the mentors pursue careers in the teaching professions. Ms. Golding talked about the impact the mentors had.
The Exhibition is a comprehensive and rigorous task for not only the fourth grade students but for the mentors as well. The students of EDU 322 tackled this new endeavor with commitment and enthusiasm. They came eager to spend time with their fourth graders and learn alongside of them. The mentors, with their fresh perspectives, positive outlook and eagerness to learn, came to King/Robinson to fulfill a service learning requirement for class, but left with a fulfillment much deeper than that. Although their time with the fourth graders has ended, the impact they’ve generated remains.
