My favorite part of my time at Southern Connecticut State University was definitely my cohort. The friendships, support, encouragement, and shared experiences made this journey so meaningful. We celebrated each other through the highs and helped each other through the challenges, and I will always be grateful for the bond we created along the way.
What I’m going to miss the most is the sense of community — seeing my cohort, learning together, and supporting one another through every challenge and success. What I’m looking forward to the most is beginning this next chapter, using everything I’ve learned to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while continuing to grow personally, professionally, and in my faith. I’m excited to integrate compassion, service, and faith into the work I do moving forward.
My advice for incoming students is to give yourself grace and trust the process. There will be stressful moments and times when you doubt yourself, but keep going. Lean on your cohort, ask for help when you need it, and remember why you started. The journey goes by faster than you think, so take in every moment and be proud of how far you’ve come.
