To my fellow Social Work graduates, let us honor the pioneers who forged a path for us today, the people who lit our souls on fire to create change, the educators that nurtured and prepared us with their grace, and our own perseverance and tenacity. My hope is that collectively, we leave this world better than we found it.

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite part of being at Southern is the support of the outstanding professors and students. I have been inspired by the personal struggles of many of my peers who have overcome unfortunate circumstances and worked their tail off to advocate for others who are going through the same.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I'm going to miss my classmates who made me feel like I wasn't going through the struggles of getting through this program alone.

Advice to Incoming Students

My advice to incoming students is your professors want to see you succeed, communicate your needs.
