Thank you to my friends, teammates, and professors for making my time at Southern so memorable. Southern has helped me grow as a student, a leader, and a person, and you all played a big part in that. The memories and adventures we had here will last a lifetime, and may the resilience of our class be a testament to our futures. We persevered through one of the toughest times in history, but we came out even stronger. As we now approach the finish line, may the will of this class set a precedent for the classes after us and the classes after them. The Class of 2022 will live on at Southern forever, and may each one of you carry the torch of commitment and dedication into your professional lives. Best of luck Class of 2022, it's been an honor.

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite memory at Southern was catching a touchdown pass on my first ever college play to help us capture one of the biggest victories in school history, by beating Division I Central Connecticut State University. My other favorite memory was the Field Day I organized at the football field for the students at Chapel Haven Special Education School. It was a tremendous success and we had a bunch of participants and volunteers that had a great time. It turned out better than anticipated, and it was a great event for the Southern community.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I am going to miss the people I met the most. I met so many great people from different things around campus and I am going to miss those relationships the most. I wish i had more time to make more.

Advice to Incoming Students

The secret is: What you put into your time here at Southern is what you will get out of it. Southern is obviously not the most glamorous school, but it gives students the opportunity to meet new people, build career experience, and join different communities. If you don't take advantage of these opportunities and sit in your dorm all day, you will not have a good experience. If you get involved, meet people with similar interests, and do things that you enjoy or try something new, you will have an amazing Southern experience like I did. College is a time to find out who you are, and there is not a better community to help you with this than Southern. Get out there and have some fun!

We did it! The biggest lesson I have learned is that it does not matter where you start, it’s where you finish. Use to gifts you were given, and perfect them to become your best self.

Advice to Incoming Students

As a First Generation College Graduate, and as a woman who got pregnant 2x during this very long journey I just want to say there will be times you think you are not capable, but remember capability is dependent on your will to never give up on what you want <3
