Young family members of our residential AND commuter students can spend time on campus and experience a bit of college life! We have lots of games and activities planned, and make sure they bring their sleeping bags if they are staying overnight! Current students have received an email with the link to register their siblings, but contact the Office of Residence Life for questions on age restrictions for overnight: (reslife@southernct.edu).

Stop by to check in or register for Family Day if you haven’t already done so in advance. We encourage all families to register, whether or not you plan to purchase the Family Day Breakfast option. When registering, please select either: Family Day (free option), or Homecoming Family Brunch (paid option with fees) at one of the available times.

Family Day is complimentary; Brunch (adults): $12; Brunch (children 12 and under): $10

Families can compete together or challenge other families in four fun-filled activities, including cornhole, cup stacking, and trivia with a twist. Each event offers chances to win prizes while celebrating Family Day with laughter, teamwork, and Southern spirit.

The moment we've all been waiting for is here! Join fellow students, families, alumni, and fans at Jess Dow Field as the Fighting Owls take on the Monroe Mustangs in this year's Homecoming football game. Thanks to Southern Athletics, admission is complimentary for all fans, making it the perfect opportunity to come together and show your Owl pride. Before kickoff, take a walk around and check out one of Southern's longest-standing Homecoming traditions: the student-designed Homecoming banners displayed along the fences surrounding the field. For more than 40 years, student organizations have showcased their creativity, spirit, and campus pride through these banners. As you make your way to your seats, cast your unofficial vote and see if you can predict which organization will be named this year's Banner Champion, announced during halftime. Let's pack the stands, bring the energy, and make Homecoming unforgettable as we cheer the Fighting Owls on to victory!
