Public Health

Congratulations to the Class of 2020! Although our time at Southern was cut short, I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason and that we will come out of this pandemic more resilient than before. Don't let the pandemic stop you from recognizing and (safely) celebrating your hard work and dedication from the past years, we've all earned it! Best of luck to everyone in your future endeavors!

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I am going to miss seeing my Brownell residents, classmates, and sorority sisters each day, seeing students gathered outside of Buley on the first warm day of the Spring semester, and being in community that felt like home.

Advice to Incoming Students

My biggest advice to incoming students would be to get involved. There are so many clubs and organizations on campus and each one is special to Southern. Whether that be being active in your residence halls, joining Greek Life, academic clubs, or participating in intramural sports, there is something for everyone to be a part of. College goes by in a blink of an eye and you get what you give from the experience, so make sure you give it your all!
