Magna Cum Laude

Fellow Graduates, After many long years, we can finally say our hard work was all worth it! We will look back at all of the memories and experiences we had and take them forward with us into our futures. Our extraordinary circumstances during this pandemic make our class one of the strangest graduating classes yet as we learned how to adapt to a whole new school with virtual and video online classes while remaining safe at home. We overcame these obstacles and are on our way to graduation! I hope to see everyone one day at commencement, but just in case, I wanted to send all of my love and wish us luck to our class. Congrats, we did it!

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite memories are of PRISM club meetings and Drag Ball, the PB&J sandwiches in Engleman Hall, as well as the studio and my art classes in Earl Hall. I'll miss hanging around Conn Hall and cramming for finals and going to study groups in the library.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I am going to miss my professors and classmates, and the overall energy our campus has. I am looking forward to bringing that spirit everywhere I can.

Advice to Incoming Students

If you're a commuter, LEAVE A HALF HOUR TO AN HOUR EARLIER, you will NOT find parking if you're late to get to class! But really, stay curious and don't be afraid to be who you are on campus. Join clubs, talk to people passing by and reach out to others! There is always a place for you here, even if it doesn't feel like it at first. You're going to have the time of your life here, and you'll look back and realize how fast it's gone, so take it all in moment by moment!
