It was an interesting experience. Best way to sum everything up from COVID to trying and getting things back to normal. Wishing everyone the best of luck in their future endeavors.

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite part of my time here was the time I spent meeting new people and making lifetime friends.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

The college atmosphere is what I’ll miss the most. The events that were constantly held for the students and the fun times we had as ‘college kids’ I’m looking forward to getting my masters degree and being the first in my family to graduate from college with a masters and bachelors degree.

Advice to Incoming Students

I would advice the incoming students to manage time wisely and ask for help when they need it, in addition don’t be afraid to take initiatives in making new friends.

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite part of my time at SCSU was getting to meet kind, honest, fun, wise and entertaining students and professors, in addition to studying subjects I found interesting.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I will miss getting to work with such nice classmates and teachers, and being involved in the Film/TV and Theatre departments. I do, however, look forward to applying the knowledge I have gained in my studies to my future occupation.

Trevor Burch
Theatre

Thank you to all of my friends in the theatre department. I truly couldn't have done this last year without all of the support and joy that all of you have brought into my life. Thank you for accepting me into the folds of the Crescent Players as a Senior transfer student and the new kid on the block. I wish you all good luck out there in the real world of theatre, we're all gonna kill it!

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite part about my time at SCSU was being in the theater. From working props backstage on Once On This Island, to working A2 on Civil in the fall semester. All the way to acting as Peter in Galathea, and then ending the spring semester off by acting in One Acts. Every moment that I got to spend in rehearsals, hanging out in the theater, and spending time with all my friends gave me joy. There are too many good times to count just one.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I am going to miss the Crescent Player community and all of my friends from the year the most. I am looking forward to where my journey into the acting world will take me, and I am most looking forward being a working actor on stage and in films.

Advice to Incoming Students

Make the most of each day that you go to class and see your friends. Enjoy every moment, cause it goes by too fast. Stay in the present, and always bring a positive attitude with you. You never know who you'll make smile, and you never know who's day you'll change for the better. Lastly, it's okay to not know where you're going, sometimes the answers were looking for will come out of the unknown.
