My favorite memory was New-Student move in day this year. I am a first generation student and my family never had the opportunity to be part of this college culture. My own move in day at my first college was much different and watching it happen here from the perspective of a Resident Advisor was eye-opening, so I look forward to being part of many students first year experience, especially on such a momentous year!
Fidana Ha, Class of 2019
Becoming a peer mentor and connecting with other amazing leaders on campus!
Tracy Lichter, Class of 2020
Our favorite memory was finding each other freshman year and able to become so close because of Southern. We now hold so many amazing memories because of SCSU and all of the fun sports events and activities they held for us to go to.
Claudia Caron, Class of 2017
One of my favorite memories was being the host of Black Student Union’s “Expressions” and seeing how diverse the audience was. It was one of the first events that I witnessed that wasn’t Pro-Con or SGA sponsored, but yet still had such strong diversity.
Chris S., Class of 2008
I made lifelong friends while living in the dorms at Southern . Freshman year in Farnham, the next 2 years in Hickerson, and Senior year in an off campus apartment close to SCSU . I loved that the Social Work department required internships which helped me learn hands on and helped me get my first social work job out of college!
Eileen Gullo, Class of 1981
Lived in Hickerson for three years and Schwartz for senior year. Have so many great memories and life long friends.
Kristen Abrams, Class of 1990
One of my great memories from freshman year is attending the football games. I love the school spirit and environment; I am really looking forward to coming back for alumni homecoming this year!
Amy Karlberg, Class of 2018
My favorite memory is being part of the student art show!
Carolyn Dennis, Class of 1994
Southern gave me my wings to be anything I could dream of being. My favorite part was playing Softball at Southern!
Lisa Donnarumma, Class of 1989
Loved working with Dr. Cynthia DiSano as a Grad Assistant in the Summer School Law Institute for the years it ran. I was almost convinced to go to law school back then but it wasn’t practical at the time. Amazing experience!
Danielle Rivard, Class of 2000
