WE DID IT!

Advice to Incoming Students

Make as many connections as possible and go to all of the events on campus because you never know who you’ll meet!

Thank you for the memories over the years !

Favorite Time at SCSU

Getting to know others in different classes, and being able to build friendships.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I’m going to miss walking on campus and being a student here, but I am looking forward to applying to the ACE Nursing Program !

Advice to Incoming Students

Make sure all assignments are handed in prior to the deadline in order to stay ahead of work and give yourself more time to focus on important classes. Enjoy the time you have because it goes by so quick!

Congratulations to the class of 2025! I wish everyone the best of luck in their careers! These may have been the most challenging 4 years of our lives, but we have all grown and proved that it was worth it in the end!

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite time at SCSU was freshman year when I lived on campus at Farnham Hall. I am so glad I decided to live on campus that year because I got the true college experience and was able to make lifelong friends! It pushed me to be more independent and grow out of my comfort zone.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

The thing I will miss the most is seeing my peers all the time. Nursing school was very hard work and I couldn't have done it without the camaraderie amongst our class. We all stuck together through good times and bad, and were always supporting one another! The thing I am looking forward to the most is not having to write any more papers or take any more exams. I know I will always be learning on the job and I will likely end up going back to school in the future, but having a break from it for a while will be great.

Advice to Incoming Students

To incoming students, my biggest piece of advice is to "go for it." In order to grow, you need to push yourself outside of your comfort zone. Things may seem scary, but once you accomplish it, you will feel all the more proud. Take advantage of the many resources SCSU has to offer and you will thrive! Never give up on yourself!
