My favorite times at SCSU were bonding with my professors during research and colleagues during study sessions.
What I will miss the most are my colleagues and professors. What I am looking forward to the most is engaging in a career that promotes and protects my community’s health. I am also looking forward to continuing to inspire others to fulfil their greatest potential.
The advice that I would give to incoming students is to always obtain a paid internship experience during your collegiate summers and participate in community service trips during your Spring Break.
I have been very fortunate to have been able to play field hockey these last 3 years while continuing my education. My favorite time at SCSU was competing in the NE10 but also currently my student teaching experience. Both experiences have allowed me to grow and come out of my comfort zone.
I am going to miss seeing my team and my friends all the time along with being able to play field hockey again (after next season). I am looking forward to continuing to give back to the community by becoming a special education teacher and in the future a field hockey coach.
My biggest advice for incoming students is to get involved with as much as you can. It allows you to stay busy but also allows you to meet so many people!
One of my favorite times at SCSU was the constant activities, music, and food that were available during the warm weather outside. There is always something fun going on!
I will miss being able to talk with my classmates and professors on a regular basis. I feel like I have learned the most through the experience of others and sharing my own experiences. I am looking forward to learning as much as I can about social work and going into the field.
If I had one peice of advise to offer incoming students it would be to get involved in something at SCSU. No matter what it is, you will get more of a sense of community and well rounded education if you are able to enjoy everything that SCSU has to offer. Whether it is having an on campus job, joining a sports team, or a club, just do something!
Listening to a teacher's random tangent when they think no one is listening and discovering something new.
I'm really going to miss the talking about personal favorites with the English and Music teachers I've had.
Don't be afraid of your teacher.
Living with my friends and being apart of amazing clubs!
I’m going to miss late night shenanigans with my roomies the most. I’m most looking forward to getting my masters and seeing what the future has in store for me.
Always find new ways to meet new people and get involved in student organizations and activities!
My favorite part of my time at SCSU is being a part of the campus's lively energy. I find that there's comfort in being a part of something bigger than myself.
I think Most of all, I will miss the Art department. The amount of support, encouragement, and direction I received from my professors and advisement is out of this world.
When things get tough and you feel stuck, count down from five and take off like a rocket!
I'm going to miss being apart of F.A.C.E and preparing for shows. I'm looking forward to the unknown blessings and success that will come my way.
Don't be afraid to try new things, join different organizations around campus and find what it is that makes you happy.
Freedom and exploration
