Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite part of SCSU were the laughs and support given over the years. You can’t go through college alone and I learned that as soon as I stepped foot on campus. I’m thankful for the people I’m leaving here with!

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

Im going to miss the late night talks with my Friends, staffs, and residents. I’m also going to miss being apart of the clubs, organizations, professors that supported me, my jobs, and the wonderful community we have.

Advice to Incoming Students

Please take your time, enjoy every second and grow from your mistakes. Remember your why and prioritize your studies while also managing your social life. Talk to people outside your norm and open your mind to different opportunities and experiences. Spread love and network! ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF!!!

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite part of my time at SCSU was being able to join all the clubs and organizations on campus that interested me. It allowed me to make so many friends and gave me so many opportunities!

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I’m going to miss how connected it feels being on Southern’s campus but I’m looking forward to new beginnings at The University of Rhode Island, when I get my master’s. #GoRhody!

Advice to Incoming Students

My advice to incoming students is to put yourself out there! You’ll miss so many opportunities that Southern has to offer by laying low and in the shadows.

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite part of my time at SCSU was serving as a student worker in the SCSU Department of Public Health, where I ran @scsupublichealth on Instagram and designed the SCSU Public Health logo, which is on the public health stoles (and merch)! I also went to Peru with my fellow nursing classmates in October of 2025, which was an unforgettable experience.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I am going to miss seeing the friends I have made during nursing school in class, but I am looking forward to working with them in the future!

Advice to Incoming Students

Take school seriously, but don't forget who you are outside of it.
