To my fellow graduates: degrees represent your knowledge and skills in that field. But they also signify the perseverance and strength it took to get the degree. Always believe in yourself, keep growing, and never forget how far you've come.

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite part of my time at SCSU was proving to myself that I could keep going. Every challenge I overcame made this accomplishment even more meaningful.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I’m going to miss the sense of community and the familiarity of seeing the same people, professors, and spaces that became part of my daily life. I’m looking forward to applying everything I’ve learned, continuing to grow, and beginning a new chapter filled with opportunities.

Advice to Incoming Students

My advice is to take care of yourself while you’re working toward your goals. Your well-being matters just as much as your success, and both are possible if you give yourself patience and grace.

As we close this chapter and step into the next, I just want to say how proud I am of all of us. The long nights, challenges, sacrifices, and moments of doubt brought us here today. May we continue to grow, lead with compassion, and use what we’ve learned to make a difference in the lives of others. Congratulations, Class of 2026 — we did it!

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite part of my time at Southern Connecticut State University was definitely my cohort. The friendships, support, encouragement, and shared experiences made this journey so meaningful. We celebrated each other through the highs and helped each other through the challenges, and I will always be grateful for the bond we created along the way.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

What I’m going to miss the most is the sense of community — seeing my cohort, learning together, and supporting one another through every challenge and success. What I’m looking forward to the most is beginning this next chapter, using everything I’ve learned to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while continuing to grow personally, professionally, and in my faith. I’m excited to integrate compassion, service, and faith into the work I do moving forward.

Advice to Incoming Students

My advice for incoming students is to give yourself grace and trust the process. There will be stressful moments and times when you doubt yourself, but keep going. Lean on your cohort, ask for help when you need it, and remember why you started. The journey goes by faster than you think, so take in every moment and be proud of how far you’ve come.
