Today is not just the end of a chapter, but the beginning of new opportunities, dreams, and challenges. We all worked hard to get here, and we should be proud of how far we’ve come. To my fellow graduates, thank you for the memories, support, and friendships. I wish all of us success, happiness, and courage for whatever comes next. Congratulations, Class of 2026!

I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to work at the advising center at Southern Connecticut State University. It was one of the best parts of my experience here. Thank you to all the advisors and staff for your support, kindness, and for making me feel part of such a great community.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I’ll miss the classes, the friendships, and all the people who made my experience special. I’m most looking forward to starting a new chapter, growing in my career, and seeing what the future brings.

Advice to Incoming Students

My advice to incoming students is to work hard, stay motivated, and enjoy every moment of the journey. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, meet new people, and try new opportunities. Give your best effort, trust the process, and everything else will fall into place.

As graduation gets closer, I just want to remind everyone that success does not have an expiration date or a timeline. Some of us finished quickly, some of us took the longer road balancing work, life, responsibilities, and obstacles people never saw. No matter how long it took, we never gave up, and that is something to be proud of. It took me 10 years to earn my BA while working full time and taking only one or two classes at a time, but this moment proves that persistence matters more than speed. Keep going, even when the journey feels slow. One day you’ll look back and realize every step was worth it. Congratulations Class of 2026 — we made it.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I'm going to miss going to class connecting with the professors and students.

Advice to Incoming Students

Making the friends I did because I made a few lifetime friends and I am so grateful for that.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

Big sporting events when we would get all the boys over, watch the game and hang out will easily be the thing I miss most. I am looking forward to seeing where my career takes me and how I manage to survive in this world.

Advice to Incoming Students

This is your last 4 years of your childhood, do not waste a single day of it. Do and try as many things as you can during this time because when it is all over you will be responsible for growing up and being a real adult
