My favorite part of my time here at SCSU would be Student Teaching because it made me realize I'm doing the right thing with my life.
Study hard and don't forget to enjoy college! :)
Amazing professors and fellow students!
I am going to miss the Buley Library, I’m looking forward to starting my next adventure, learning and growing every day.
Don’t stress, Have fun enjoy it while you can. It will be over before you know it
My professors! I learned so much from them and all of them were the best educators I could have.
Do not pick your majors and minors because you think it will be easy or make a lot of money. Please, most importantly, I beg of you to make sure you do something you love and are passionate about. Find what speaks to you and everything else will fall in place, I promise.
My favorite time at SCSU is my internship at VPAS and working with the SAGE Center along with all the classes I got to attend with my service dog Monroe by my side.
I am going to miss all the faculty and staff that made SCSU such a great community and I look forward to a successful future with many opportunities.
The best advice I can give is if you ask not you get not meaning if you don't ask for help you won't get it. So, just ask! There are so many people at SCSU that are there to help you succeed. And last but not least- STUDY and do the work!
My favorite part of SCSU was being part of residence life and student involvement. I would recommend everyone to get involved because that got me out of my shell and I love the connections I have made along the way.
What I am going to miss most is the connections and memories I have made during my years here at Southern. Starting pre-covid is hard to believe and we did it! I will miss the feeling of family and being one big community! Something I am looking forward to most is starting grad school and continuing my education in my field of social work.
Get involved early on! Make connections with classmates and fellow residents on in your residence hall, they will make lifelong friends!
Being in FACE, majorette, working at Dunkin’ Donuts and Black student union.
Meeting the friends I know I'll have for the rest of my life.
Do not hesitate to ask for help. Be it the DRC, office hours, or the academic success center, use it. Get those accommodations if you need them. Take advantage of extensions in the syllabus. Don't be scared of being judged for it!!
