Instruction does not halt after the chime rings. Learning is found within the classroom, within the feasting commons, within the dorm room, within the chapel lobby, and in each circumstance I discover myself. Life isn't dark and white. College fills my crave to explore the gray ranges, finding the answers to life.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

“I am looking forward, to begin with and preeminent, to a return to a few level of regularity. In expansion to that, I see forward to a few face-to-face gatherings where I have an opportunity to arrange with my peers and companions who I have not seen in individual for more than a year.

It has been an incredibly difficult few years. It was no small feat to endure/persist during a pandemic. In the future, when things may seem tough or impossible remember this moment. If we made it through this, we can make it through anything ! Congrats Guys! We did it !!

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I think I'll miss the overall feeling of being a student; learning new things from different classes; the excitement of the first day; the mid semester breakdown lol; the relief after finals are over etc,. I have been a student for over 5 years so it will feel weird for a bit to not have assignments due or a test to study for. I am looking forward to spending a summer soaking up the sun, hanging out with my family (without being worried about school in the back of my mind) and doing absolutely nothing :) !

Advice to Incoming Students

Surround yourself with people who have the same drive and dedication as you. Speak regularly to your advisor, they are SOOO helpful (shoutout to Dr. Bordner and Dr. Stiver, you guys rock!) Learn to manage your time efficiently. Misuse of time is your enemy. Enjoy the ride, it flies by fast. "It does not due to dwell on dreams and forget to live" -Dumbledore

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite time at SCSU would definitely be Freshmen year and joining my first on-campus living, Hall Council eBoard. This was great, it forced me to jump out of my bubble a bit and participate in events while meeting people throughout campus. This also allowed me to go to every RHA meeting where I was able to meet new people and get accustomed to living away from home for the first time.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

There are a couple of days left and I already miss it. Missing this. Living on campus and seeing my friends every day, high stakes bingo, Black Lives Matter event/march, apple picking, strengthening Sundays, Heritage ball, residential events, etc. I am looking forward to traveling and broadening my education.
