Live every day as if it is your last, and never take anything for granted. Don't ever let anyone tell you you can't, I am living proof anything is possible.

Favorite Time at SCSU

Finally finding my calling in Recreational Therapy. If not for SCSU I would have never found my second career. I can't wait to get my Graduate degree and start helping Veterans like myself find their place in the world.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I'm going to miss having my first class at 11 am so I don't have to rush in the morning. I am looking forward to starting Grad school in the Fall.

Advice to Incoming Students

Take it one day, once class, one semester at a time. Don't be in a rush to get it over with, enjoy the ride, enjoy the Freedom. Not everyone has this opportunity, take advantage of it. Have Fun!!!

Working in the theatre!

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I'm going to miss the community, and I'm looking forward to the new communities I'll be part of.

Advice to Incoming Students

The opportunities you don't pursue are the opportunities you miss, so take advantage of everything. College it the time to try and fail and try and succeed, but you can only get to the point of success if you're willing to fail first. And in college, failing is not the end of the world, it's only the beginning. So seize every change, every opportunity, every resource. And get as much sleep as you can. It's not worth it if it costs your mental or physical health.

Six years ago today, we were dreaming of where we could be now. I am so proud of all of us for getting through the hard times and officially achieving greatness. Continue to follow your dreams! Congrats!

Traveling to Bermuda with my team. Playing field hockey in another country surrounded by palm trees and pink sand beaches was a dream come true!

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

Advice to Incoming Students

Get involved! My experience at SCSU would not have been so amazing if I had not taken part in the hundreds if activities they plan every year; trivia, bingo, food trucks, res-life events and of course free t-shirts.

Considering that we completed a degree in the midst of a pandemic, we should all be proud of ourselves. Many of us have adapted to habits that we never thought would be possible. But acknowledging that we are a part of GenZ, this explains why we always find a way to handle our situations. It is a great privilege to be born in such an era of massive advancements that enables us to be so brilliant and talented physically and technologically. Don't let anybody tell you that you can't. You worked hard for this, and it is just the beginning of great things. The world is now in your hands let us continue to make it a place worth living. Congratulations to the class of '22! Wether your education journey ends here or its just the beginning continue to strive for the best.

Favorite Time at SCSU

My freshman year at SCSU was very exciting because as a new student at a college I looked forward to participating in as many events and meeting new people. It was even more fascinating because I lived on campus and during this time you get to explore who you really are, and as the years go by you are able to self-reflect and see how much you have grown. Recognizing these positive changes is very heartwarming.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I will definitely miss going to the events that our school hosts, the friendly teachers, and classmates, the openness of our campus, but most of all I will miss the UAP department that provided me with the chance of obtaining a degree in the first place. I'm looking forward to furthering my education and accomplishing more rewarding experiences in life.

Advice to Incoming Students

EVERY CLASS COUNTS; if you miss one, you lose money, a chance of getting an A, and a possibility of being dropped from that class. Get involved; network with your peers and teachers. You might need them to do a reference letter later. The years go by faster than you think. Most of all, give yourself a mental break sometimes! Work hard and celebrate when you get holidays, trust me, it is possible. I did it, you can too! You might lose friends but you'll always have your degree. Enjoy your college experience.
