I am so proud of us! We have came a long way and I am grateful for all of my peers in the Social Work program who have been my support team through these last 2 years. God bless!

We have finally reached the end of what felt like endless papers, exams, projects, and caffeine. We have endured navigating education through a pandemic. We have done it! Each and every one of us should be proud of where we are today. Take a moment to be proud of yourself

Favorite Time at SCSU

My favorite part of my time at SCSU is hands down the opportunity I had to study abroad in Tuscany Italy for a month in the summer. Not only did I make some incredible memories and learn a lot about photography but I got to fully embrace a new culture.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

SCSU is truly a community. No matter what part of the university you find yourself in, it becoming a second family. I am going to miss most my second family at the Office of First Year Admissions. I am going to miss being one of the first interactions most student have with Southern. I am looking forward to beginning my career and being a positive impact on peoples’ lives as a nurse in the emergency department.

Advice to Incoming Students

Favorite Time at SCSU

The late-night walks back to my room while listening to loud music. I've always felt safe doing so, and as a woman, I can't do that anywhere else.

What are you going to miss the most, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I’m going to miss my friends, but I look forward to graduating with at least two of them.

Advice to Incoming Students

Don’t be afraid of starting over.
